A 74-year-old woman was attacked in a parking garage at Sunset Station Hotel & Casino. The evidence demonstrated that no one was watching the parking lot surveillance or any other casino cameras. The evidence further demonstrated that Sunset Station failed to provide any surveillance footage of the interior of the Casino despite evidence that the attackers were within the Casino for a prolonged period of time prior to the incident.
The woman sustained multiple injuries and, after a 7-day trial, the Jury found no comparative negligence and returned a $1.5 million verdict in favor of the Plaintiff.
