I-15: Driver Shot in Fit of Road Rage

According to the Las Vegas Sun, Ricardo Tecera shot an unidentified driver in a bout of road rage gone wrong on Thursday, August 14 along Interstate 15.

Metro Police report that Tecera, 25, tailgated the victim in his Nissan Maxima while the two vehicles traveled northbound on I-15 just after midnight.

When the victim pulled over near a gas station at the Primm exit and exited his car, Tecera shot him in the abdomen as he drove by.

Tecera continued to drive north and was soon arrested near Dean Martin Road and Tropicana Avenue. Authorities report that he was brought to Clark County Detention Center and booked on charges of battery with a deadly weapon and attempted murder.

Police records show that the victim’s injuries were not life-threatening and that he was airlifted to University Medical Center.
